Amgen is seeking early career, talented professionals to join our US Value & Access organization as an outstanding opportunity for early career growth. Developing critical skills in areas such as leadership, teamwork, communication and project management are at the core of this role, while also learning about the rapidly changing healthcare environment which can impact patient access to Amgen's portfolio of therapies.

Responsibilities of the US Value & Access Associate include:

  • Executes and completes high-quality deliverables on time to support respective business functions
  • Manages cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Contributes towards strategic planning and insight generation
  • Maintains strong relationships with internal and external key players, as appropriate

 


Basic Qualifications:

 

 

  • Bachelor of Arts and/or Bachelor of Science Degree completed by Summer 2021
  • Currently enrolled in final semester of a Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Business, Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Communication, Engineering, Biology, Psychology, Public Health, or related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in current program
  • Possess U.S. citizenship, permanent legal residence, or unrestricted work authorization in the U.S.

 


Preferred Qualifications:

 

 

 

  • Prior internships related to major and projected areas of interest
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starting nature; capable of and comfortable with independent critical thinking and problem solving; energized by change and challenges
  • Passionate about biotechnology field and the evolving healthcare landscape
  • Curiosity and desire to learn
  • Strong team player who can collaborate with colleagues on complex tasks
  • Track record of successfully owning, planning, and implementing multi-faceted projects
  • Ability to think critically, proactively anticipate problems and propose solutions
  • Ability to work effectively/collaboratively across teams, levels of management, across partnerships, leverage contact network to motivate diverse teams, and enable cross-functional collaborations
