Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the administration and operational support of Daiichi Sankyo third party applications primarily in the Business and Corporate divisions (Commercial IT). In this role the individual will lead the operational support of existing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) & Alignment systems, along with other business and corporate applications. The individual will also be responsible for contingent worker administration for support resources and participate in other IT projects and committees which partner with the Commercial function. Role will be recognized as the team expert in Veeva CRM and the Force.com Platform.

Responsibilities:

Define and deliver annual goals and objectives as they relate to Business and Corporate systems (excluding SAP) support. This person will be establishing deliverables and communication channels with the business. It is the responsibility of this individual to monitor and manage existing Information Systems policies and procedures to ensure compliance, as well as, to identify when change in policies and procedures are needed. This individual will attend customer facing meetings to communicate standards and directions, as well as, advise on technology solutions. Participate in the annual development and management of the IT budget within their applications area/projects.

Responsible for the Sales Force Help Desk operational guidance related to Veeva CRM tickets, setting and monitoring SLAs, coordinating training, and remediating field issues. Responsible for system administration of sales force automation tool. Provide support across all areas of system development lifecycle (SDLC) including creating training documentation for all supported applications in the Business and Corporate divisions. Review and monitor external industry trends and mobile tablet releases to ensure compatibility with application. Participate in key business activities related to annual transparency reporting, call plans, sales renumbering, new product launch activities along with key sales operations related to field sales.

Third Party Application Support primarily for CRM and Territory Alignment systems: Product accountability for all non-SAP third party applications support for Business and Corporate divisions. This includes maintenance, upgrades and evaluation of business needs relative to the product selection, implementation and support. In this role, it is expected that the solution will be maintained to meet customer expectations. It could include production report writing, ad hoc reporting and integration with other production systems. In addition, this role will work with System Architects to identify potential software opportunities to meet customer current and future needs. Provide technical expertise related to configuration of sales force automation tool and perform data analysis and integration deliverables related to business processes. Provide the bridge between business and solutions vendor to manage the solution as well as control the time and effort to build.

Work with Project Management (PM) and Business Units: This includes working with our internal Project Managers (PM) and customers supporting requests. Accountable for oversight of the team's efforts and providing direction both to the internal team, as well as, the PM and our customers. Accountable for providing the functional and technical delivery based on a Statement of Work. In addition, responsible for providing specific technical tasks or plans to support the overall effort.

Vendor Management: Accountable for the vendor relationships. It is expected that financials of these relations will be managed and communicated to their manager along with advice on technology direction. Responsibility includes vendor management, statement of work and work order reviews, establishing and enforcing service level agreement to provide timely and effective execution of projects to meet end user requirements.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or business-related discipline preferred , or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of combined experience in Application Implementations, Configuration, and Maintenance of IT systems primarily focused on the Field Sales and Commercial Ops area. This includes experience in system architecture including Application maintenance, Business Intelligence, analytical tools, databases, operating systems and infrastructure. Some supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of Information Systems concepts, practices, and procedures, as well as a broad understanding of the Commercial function within a Pharmaceutical industry.
  • 5+ years of Pharmaceutical industry experience required
  • Business knowledge of Field Sales/Commercial Ops processes
  • Minimum 3 years Veeva CRM (preferred) or Salesforce CRM operational support experience. Hands on system administration of Custom Objects, Alignments, Account Maintenance, User Profile Management , Surveys, Veeva data loader, Process builder, workflow, APEX coding, etc. required. Working knowledge of Commercial Veeva modules such as Align, Approved E-mails, Engage, CLM, Network, Promomats preferred
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management)
  • Veeva Certified Administrator qualification which is kept up to date preferred
  • IT Development Tools: SQL Server, ETL, SQL experience writing queries, Excel macros/formulas preferred
