Novartis Gene Therapies is seeking a Manufacturing Science and Technology Intern to assist with technical support of the manufacturing process. Internship will generally involve a single project to assist with process characterization, improvements, technical transfer, or data analysis.

Responsibilities

Typical job responsibilities or projects associated with MSAT internships involve working with operations and quality on specific process improvement initiatives. Participating in the planning and deliverables for technical transfer of new processes to the GMP manufacturing plant. Use statistical, data analytics, and data science tools and process modeling to analyze and identify insights from process data. Assisting in the investigation and root cause analysis of manufacturing issues and proposal and implementation of appropriate corrective actions.

Qualifications
  • Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in engineering, science, or related discipline. No prior experience is required.
  • Candidates should have ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Candidates should have effective problem-solving, collaboration, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Candidates should have previous process development, research, or manufacturing experience.
  • Candidates should have strong technical competency and a desire to innovate.
  • Candidates should have experience in computer programming, modeling, data science, and/or data analytics.


The level of this position will be based on the final candidate's qualifications.
