Director CNS Sales Training & Development - CNS (Neurology)

You are more than just a job title, YOU ARE:

CNS Training Leader: Works closely with the Director of Sales Training and Development, sales training team, sales leadership, and brand leadership to recommend and direct strategic and tactical training for the U.S. CNS Sales organization in support of current Neurology portfolio and pipeline.

• Oversee training curriculum and programs to ensure they are effective, stay within budget and drive top line sales for Neurology franchise, a key therapeutic area for the company.
• Lead and develop Neurology sales training team, which includes field and corporate based sales trainers.
• Oversee the Neurology training curriculum and logistics of training which includes partnering with the sales training team, marketing team and sales leadership on curriculum development and all projects.
• Partner with the sales training team, marketing team and sales leadership to ensure training content supports goals.
• Oversee and work collaboratively with the sales training team on projects to ensure all relevant materials are approved.
• Develop and nourish relationships with field sales to provide sales training and marketing with a clear understanding of field needs to support product positioning, to address competitive promotional efforts, and to assess the success of the various training and communication tools.
• Work with sales training team to support, develop and execute regional training programs.
• Continuously assess training and development needs of the field force to ensure the long-term development of the sales team.
• Work closely with the training coordinator on class logistics to ensure programs are effectively executed, classes are calendarized, space is available, and all items are promptly sent to attendees.

Position located in Madison, NJ Allergan office.


• Bachelor's degree
• Expert level knowledge of sales leadership and leadership development
• Minimum of 5 years field sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Minimum of 5 years field management experience in pharmaceutical industry preferred
• Depth of Neurology experience and training experience is preferred
• Extensive experience in developing and leading high potential sales professionals.
• Proficient communication and facilitation skills. Ability to engage cross-functional teams to assess needs and gain support for plans.
