The Facilities Maintenance and Reliability Technician - Utility Lead is directly responsible for reliable, efficient and sustained operation of the facility and all equipment. Additionally, Facilities supports current project operations and site goal objectives and ensures compliance with regulatory, corporate, and site requirements related to their functional area.

Responsibilities
  • Supports current project operations and site goal objectives and ensures compliance with regulatory, corporate, and site requirements.
  • Operate, troubleshoot and repair utility systems which may include WFI, RODI, Clean Steam, Autoclaves, Glassware Washers, production vessels, HVAC, Cold/Warm Rooms, control systems, compressed gases, plant steam/condensate, and wastewater treatment under little to no supervision.
  • Interpret P&IDs, equipment/system layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications in planning and performing maintenance and repairs.
  • Support 24x7 site-based operations after startup.
  • Serves as subject matter expert (SME) for Utility Operations and first response for facility issues.
  • Write/revise accurate operational procedures, training documents and maintenance procedures for various utility systems.
  • Manages facility alarm response process from initial alarm response through alarm
  • Supervise the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all assets and systems which support plant and clean utilities, and building management systems.
  • Supply information and technical data for securing spare parts.
  • Provide responsive customer support with emphasis on customer satisfaction.
  • Perform startup and commissioning activities as required.
  • Work in a collaborative team environment and interact with other support groups such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Metrology, Quality Assurance and Validation.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on utilities and manufacturing process related equipment within a cleanroom environment.
  • Complete and provide accurate documentation, as required in cGMP operations.
  • Oversee work and provide training of less experienced maintenance technicians and/or new technicians.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and 7 years' experience performing operations and maintenance on utility systems, HVAC systems and/or manufacturing equipment.
  • Licensed in any of the following areas: Electrician, Refrigeration/Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Stationary Engineer or Waste Water Treatment.
  • Ability to work on 24 Volt to 4160 Volt equipment preferred.
  • Familiarity with all electrical codes and city, state and federal regulations in relation to installations and permitting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of installation, service, switch gear and transformers preferred.
  • Experience in operating and maintaining mechanical systems in a cGMP or other regulated environment.
  • Working in a team environment, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skill utilizing MS Office suite applications, Building Management Systems, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.


The level of this position will be based on the final candidate's qualifications.
