We are seeking a Manager to join our Research Program Management Team to use their scientific expertise, and program management knowledge and experience to proactively plan, coordinate, and lead cross-functional aspects of the Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC) new collaborations process.
In this role, a typical day may include:

Communication:
• Independently leads and facilitates collaborations between cross-functional teams to ensure effective, accurate, and timely communications for RGC new collaborations activities.
• Tailors communications based on the audience, distills sophisticated information and identifies the most pertinent key information. Provides collaboration portfolio summaries and general guidelines to support presentations to senior management and collaborators.

Team Management:
• Builds cross-functional teams and leads internal/external collaboration deliverables in a matrix organization.
• Drives the evolution of genetics research plans and the coordination of phenotype data and biospecimen transfers to the RGC.
• Uses relevant working knowledge to create research plan templates, tracking tools, and standard methodologies to support genetics collaboration activities and resolve individual and team performance issues.

Planning, Tracking & Project Reporting:
• Utilizes relevant technical knowledge to plan, track and execute on a continuous collection of potential genetics collaborations.
• Leads RGC and TFA teams to make go/no-go decisions on new genetics collaborations opportunities.
• Maintains knowledge of data and achievements, as well as serves as a key contact for genetics collaboration updates.

Process Implementation & Improvement:
• Contributes to a culture of continuous learning and process improvements by defining, detailing, and assessing best practices, program procedures and tools.
• Assesses efficiencies and develops solutions to improve the RGC new collaborations process.

Problem Solving:
• With minimal direction, the program manager will proactively identify potential issues and implement mitigation strategies for general problem solving within Research Program Management or the RGC.

This role may be for you if you:
• Have experience gaining cooperation from others and efficiently lead cross-functional discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Are comfortable with regularly engaging, advising and communicating with a broad range of research scientists, as well as senior management.
• Can identify scientific and resource interdependencies, potential bottlenecks, and opportunities for alignment.
• Have experience in managing a large portfolio of collaboration opportunities and external relationships.

To be considered for this role you must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree and 10 years of relevant experience, or a PhD and 5 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience is considered in-depth knowledge of program management techniques and concepts. We are looking for someone who has a strong instinct to act, is organized, self-motivated and able to lead teams through collaborative engagement. This role will serve as the key point of contact for RGC new collaborations. A successful candidate will need excellent written and verbal skills, as well as excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members with tact and diplomacy. Being able to provide direction and leadership for multiple projects and priorities is required to succeed in this role. Candidates must also be proficient in relevant software such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
