Position Title: Territory Manager

The Territory Manager, Sales is responsible for the on-label promotion and execution of sales strategies for approved Esperion products to targeted customers within the posted geographic area.  As a member of the Company’s field sales force, the Territory Manager is responsible for all aspects of personal promotion within their assigned geography.  They will be expected to execute the implementation of Esperion sales processes within local geography in accordance with approved sales and marketing resources and while ensuring they operate in an effective, efficient and compliant manner always.  This role reports into the Regional Sales Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

  • Achieve individual territory sales goals as approved by Esperion Commercial Leadership
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers in the assigned geography
  • Effectively promote and educate Health Care Providers on the use of Esperion products through one-on-one meetings and group presentations, company-approved promotional speaker programs, and other company-approved programs
  • Analyze local market trends, develop, execute and monitor performance and results to maximize the appropriate use of Esperion products
  • Demonstrate successful use of sales and marketing tools and resources such as to achieve business objectives
  • Demonstrate and maintain appropriate knowledge of Esperion product payor coverage to deliver against market access objectives for the assigned territory
  • Achieve territory level key performance indicators as set by sales management
  • Periodically attend local, regional and national conventions to promote Esperion brands to HCP attendees
  • Demonstrate accurate and timely completion of all administrative tasks such as sample inventory, call submission & reporting, expense management, vehicle mileage reporting, and related duties as required by Esperion
  • Strong collaboration skills, works effectively with internal and external stakeholders, holds self and others accountable for results and agreed upon actions
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures, completing all required compliance training, and consistently demonstrating behaviors aligned with company values

Qualifications (Education & Experience)

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent years of education and experience
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience calling on Cardiologists, Lipidologists and related specialties of call plan focus
  • Recent experience calling on Health Care Providers (HCP) that overlap within the assigned territory boundaries
  • Travel requirements: Must be willing and able to travel up to 30% including overnight stays for territory business and occasional Regional and National Sales Meetings
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record that meets Esperion employment standards

Highly Preferred:

  • Documented track record of consistent sales performance as measured by national and regional awards including sales rankings consistently above expectations
  • Successful experience operating in an entrepreneurial sales model with sole responsibility of product promotion within a defined territory assignment
  • Product launch experience
  • Ability to embrace the Esperion culture. Passionate about the mission and reputation of the Company, and the importance of alignment with internal and external stakeholders
