Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer - Genomic LIMS for Tarrytown, NY location. The candidate will participate in the development of lab processes and instrument integration on Sapio Exemplar LIMS, and will develop other NGS Lab needs as requested by the business. They will support the biotechnology research areas in the design and development of scientific applications around the customization and integration of the LIMS and other software/database applications as requested. Work with Lab technicians and IT personnel to resolve day-to-day technical issues related to these systems and their data. Responsible for many aspects of the software development lifecycle, including: design, testing, implementation, and maintenance of scientific business applications. Responsible for developing new and enhancing existing systems independently or as a team using Agile methodology.

Minimum Requirements:
Must possess a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field and relevant software development experience. Must possess experience with: Java application development; Python scripting; shell scripting and working in a Linux or Unix environment; and SQL development on major database systems like Oracle or SQL Server. Must have coding and configuration experience with Sapio Exemplar LIMS or other major commercial LIMS applications including Nautilus, LabWare or SLIMS; experience developing and optimizing SQL statements for data mining and reporting purposes; creating reports with Tibco Spotfire or similar commercial reporting tools, including Tableau, Cognos or Crystal Reports; understanding and ability to follow Agile systems development Life Cycle; interacting with Biological Lab Technicians and Information Technology personnel to clearly communicate and articulate requirements and resolve issues; and working with version control systems, Object Oriented Concepts, W3C Standards, IntelliJ IDE, API, JSON and XML data, Jira and Confluence.
