Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking an R&D Associate for our Tarrytown, NY location to evaluate target antibodies in vivo (run animal models of infectious disease). Maintain and culture microorganisms as necessary (microbiological growth, culture, storage). Maintain cells in culture for use in cell-based assays. Evaluate target antibodies in vitro (assays such as ELISA, cell proliferation assays, phagocytic assays, flow cytometry, MICs and fluorescence/confocal microscopy). Perform in vivo experiments with rodents (injections, tissue harvesting, sectioning and staining). Present data (powerpoint presentations, posters and/or written summaries). Record data in laboratory notebooks. Keep abreast of current techniques and research findings by reading published literature. Assist in maintenance of BSL-2+ laboratory and vivarium spaces

Qualified applicants will have a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent in Biotechnology or related and 1 year of relevant industry experience. Must possess 1 year of experience in the following: with animal (rodents in particular) handling, including organ harvesting, ip/iv/subcutaneous injections, surgeries; using sterile technique for handling/growing bacterial and/or mammalian cells in BSL2 laboratory; with assay development and execution e.g. microbiological growth assays, phagocytosis assays and cell-based assays; with biochemical techniques such as running ELISAs and/or western blots, preparing samples for LC-MS/MS analysis; with imaging techniques including fluorescence and confocal microscopy; with tissue processing, sectioning and staining; with recording and analyzing data; and presenting data in formal setting.
