We are looking to add a Senior Manager Sourcing to our rapidly growing Strategic Sourcing team. In this new role, you will support and assist in the development of the Category Management strategy by gathering and anticipating business unit supply needs and specifications for the DPM-CMO (Drug Product Manufacturing-Contract Manufacturing Organization) Sourcing team. You will work collaboratively with the Category Manager and business unit partners to commercially & competitively assess the local supply base's capabilities and qualifications for Regeneron's interests, while leading all aspects of ongoing performance and service delivery.

As a Senior Manager Sourcing, a typical day might include the following:
  • Leading and/or working with a team to solve issues of diverse scope where analysis requires an understanding of current business trends
  • Handling specific local contractual agreements, working with our internal legal department, and driving any changes that are critical to Regeneron's interest
  • Developing and executing sourcing strategies for respective area of spend responsibility to optimize value
  • Soliciting and analyzing requests for proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring contract objectives are delivered (savings, SLAs, etc.) while ensuring compliance with local pricing agreements and internal policies/procedures
  • Maintaining local vendor/supplier relationships and ensuring performance and accountability are tracked/improved
  • Developing and managing program policies and procedures to align with Company guidelines, related laws and governmental guidelines
  • Developing and executing local market procurement related programs, optimizing value
  • Influencing decision making at the management level
  • Managing local supplier integration plans with internal clients for all goods and services for consumption by internal partners, business unit or function
  • Identifying local supply market projects to apply sourcing and procurement methodologies
  • Conducting local supplier relationship management activities as guided by the Supplier Management Program to achieve continuous improvement goals
This role might be for you if you:
  • Have demonstrated capability to proactively manage a supply base and maximize value, minimize risk, and ensure quality & cost effectiveness
  • Are a master negotiator and are experienced with program and project management as well as cost modeling
  • Using analytical thought and knowledge of processes, procedures, and systems to identify innovative solutions, improve efficiency, and produce high quality work on problems with cross functional impact
  • Enjoy mentoring and developing proficiency in procurement technical skills among peers and junior team members
  • Are skilled at building consensus, collaboration, and creativity within a team
  • Can formulate high level presentations and business cases
  • Possess working knowledge of Sourcing Contracting, ERP, eRFX systems (e.g. Oracle, Zycus, GEP, Ariba)
  • Can communicate effectively across all levels of the business
To be considered for the Senior Manager position you must have a Bachelor's degree along with 8+ years of relevant, progressive experience, to ideally include 6 years directly in sourcing Pharma/Biotech. We would also consider applicants with a Master's degree and 6+ years of sourcing experience (with 4 years directly in sourcing Pharma/Biotech). Applicants with a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of sourcing experience or a Master's degree and 5+ years of experience may be considered for a Manager Sourcing title. CPSM/CPM and previous leadership experience are both preferred.
