Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Senior R&D Specialist for Tarrytown, NY location. Responsible for molecular and cell biological laboratory work and perform animal studies to support a range of ongoing projects. Responsible for execution of biological experiments necessary to develop animal models and deliver experimental therapeutic reagents. Establish and maintain cell culture systems and perform in vitro experiments. Maintain accurate records in electronic notebook. Analyze experimental data and present results in small and large group meetings. Collaborate both within the group and across Regeneron.

Must possess a Master's degree in biotechnology or a related field and 5 years of related industry experience. Alternatively, employer will accept Bachelor's degree in stated field and 8 years of related industry experience. Must possess 5 years of extensive experience with: molecular biology; virology; genetics and minimal in vivo lab animal handling and basic procedures experience (keep records, tissues collection and processing, histology, microscopy and image analysis). Must possess 5 years of experience with: molecular biology, including: designing and cloning gene therapy constructs, PCR, restriction digest, Gibson cloning, mutagenesis, DNA and RNA purification, quantitative RT-PCR, BulkRNA seq, gene expression analysis; protein purification; gel electrophoresis; and Western blotting and image analysis techniques. Must possess 3 years of experience working with advanced bioinformatics tools and databases, including: MacVector / DNAStar Lasergene and VectorNTI, blast, ClustalW, GenBank, UniProt/SwissProt, dbSNP; working knowledge of statistical tools including excel and prism; virology, CRISPR Cas9 and siRNA based techniques; cell biology experience including: transfecting, maintaining and expanding cell lines, perform in vitro experiments; and flow cytometry, ELISA, immunocytochemistry / immunohistochemistry assays. Up to 5% international and domestic travel is required.
