Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated research specialist to join VI NEXT group to work on to support ex vivo cell/gene therapy efforts across Regeneron. The responsibilities of this position will include reagent screening, condition optimization, as well as technology development in the areas of nucleic acid therapeutics and gene editing.

As the R&D Specialist, VI Next, a typical day might include the following:
  • Performing research requiring molecular biology techniques including gRNA and CRISPR preparation, RNA, and DNA isolation and purification from tissue samples, qPCR, etc.
  • Culturing, maintaining, and transfecting mammalian cell lines and primary cells
  • Screening of gRNAs for ex-vivo CRISPR mediated gene editing
  • Assay development in primary cell culture, as well as CRISPR/gRNA introduction.
  • Independently carrying out standard biochemical and immunological assays such as ELISA, Western and flow cytometry.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a BS/MS with 2-4 years relevant laboratory research experience. Basic molecular biology/biochemistry techniques such as PCR, transfection, cloning, western, flow cytometry. Cell culture experience with different cell types including primary cell culture. Experience with gene editing technologies, CRISPR screening, ex-vivo editing is highly desirable.
