Job Summary:

The National Business Manager (NBM) is responsible for the implementation of strategies and tactics to drive unencumbered access the sales in key market access accounts reporting directly to the Vice President of Market Access. This role ensures the activity of gaining access for DSIs portfolio is conducted in a highly ethical and knowledgeable manner by supporting and coordinating all training efforts to their area of responsibility. This position can assist in various capacities including, but not limited to, interim account management, FRM, or OCE support in an employee's absence, leading professional development initiatives, strategy tracking and business analysis for ELT updates and quarterly business reviews, planning resource utilization, fostering communication and integration across customer facing divisions, and coordination with internal stakeholders to maintain, create, and analyze data to support market access priorities.

This is a remote role and can be based out in the field.

Responsibilities:

Supports and ensures consistent execution of strategic and tactical market access account plans. Maintains and submits appropriate records and reports as directed by the Vice President and Market Access Leadership Team. Assists leadership team with the implementation of strategic plans to coach and develop Account Managers, FRMs, and OCEs. Aids in the preparation, delivery and facilitation of National, Regional, and local meetings. Participates in national task forces to provide feedback, solutions and direction on organizational initiatives that may have impact on Market Access and the coordination with the Care Team. Partners with Strategic Sales & Operations and the Sales Training team to pull-through national initiatives. Works cross-functionally with Sales Leadership and peer NBMs to optimize execution. Partners with in-house functions, including Market Access Marketing, National Payers, Supply Chain, Contracting & Pricing, and Brand to ensure customer experience is aligned and proactive. May need to liaise with American Regent colleagues in support of the Iron Franchise

Coordinates the execution of approved marketing plans and promotional campaigns with the Market Access leadership team. Assists in and ensures the Market Access strategies are received by field sales, connected, and are being executed. Monitors, inspects and communicates execution of all pull through strategies. Coordinates communication and direction on state government strategy and ensures follow through activities are implemented. Manages and tracks projects from outside vendors. Follows state legislation to monitor changes in Medicaid, or Advocacy Management and the impact on the business. Engages with customers in support of the current and future portfolio. Analyzes and tracks key strategies for execution and impact.

Leads new hire orientations in concert with Market Access Training and mentors new Market Access employees. Implements training strategy and takes part in training regional sales teams. Assists the Vice President with Talent Management where appropriate, by supporting and implementing talent plans.

Assists Vice President and leadership team by monitoring monthly Sales A&P and Operational budget reports. Makes recommendations for spend to maximize revenue and return on investment

Ability to travel up to 50% or greater travel (25% Nationally and 25% Regionally)

Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Education/Experience:

5 years Pharmaceutical industry experience required; no less than three years of management experience strongly preferred (DM and Market Access experience strongly preferred).

Strong business acumen, including the ability to build business plans based on analysis of key performance metrics and the understanding of marketplace opportunities and barriers.

High degree of learning agility easily adaptable to new, ambiguous or difficult conditions.

High level of self-awareness with the ability to translate feedback into action.

Able to demonstrate the ability to shift focus and change course - Able to do so with minimal impact to completing job requirements.

A proven track record of success in implementing a sales strategy and driving revenue growth and expansion.

Demonstrated acumen in Market Access Customers

Proven success in areas of leadership, judgment, teamwork, and selling skills.

Excellent communication and writing skills.
