GMAP Lead on Integrated Access Strategies (IASs) for pipeline assets (ABBV-981 and ABBV-323), and for Skyrizi pipeline indications
- This role will leverage your clinical understanding, expertise of Evidence Based Medicine, alongside deep global payer knowledge, and competitive insights to shape Phase II/III clinical development programs for pre-launch assets and indications
- The primary goal of this position is to influence clinical development programs, to ensure endpoints (i.e., clinical, economic and humanistic outcomes) are incorporated that will globally optimize price, reimbursement and ultimately patient access.
- The ideal candidate will support the global effort to integrate payer value messages into our clinical and evidence-base assessments and evaluations for AbbVie's early pipeline assets, across a range of therapeutic areas within Immunology

Overall Responsibilities Include:
- Addressing reimbursement and pricing potential for markets including the U.S., (all channels - Commercial, Medicaid and Medicare), as well as other international key markets, including the EU5, CAN and JPN
- Refining and implementing cross-functional processes for obtaining global payer and market access considerations for clinical and commercial development plans
- Proactively ensuring reimbursement perspective is incorporated into global market access strategy as well as multi-functional therapeutic and product assessments throughout key clinical development milestones and strategic commercial decisions
- Providing specific actionable payer-related recommendations to senior management as part of commercial analysis of the therapeutic areas of interest
- Generating initial global payer value propositions for new assets that are aligned with the product's total emerging value proposition (physicians, payers, and patients) and the product's target product profile (TPP)
- Ensuring critical clinical and economic evidence requirements to optimize PRA success are incorporated into the development plans for the registrational study designs for future Skyrizi pipeline indications and translated into PRA resources for use by Areas and Affiliates with external stakeholders
- Collaborating with other GMAP functions such as Pricing and HTA Strategy as well as GHEOR, Global Business Intelligence, Government Affairs, Global Marketing, Global Commercial Development, Global Medical Affairs and complimentary Area & Affiliate Functions, to ensure solid understanding of global payer markets and emerging stakeholders in the reimbursement area
- Internally collaborating and managing external partners/vendors conduct pertinent therapeutic and disease areas reviews, and advisory boards, which includes but not limited to general market access landscape, payers unmet needs, current standard of care, competitors' value proposition and pricing & reimbursement status, and payers' decision
- Leading project management with regards to purchasing support, opening of POs; ensuring appropriate documentation is in place in line with company procedures and storage of pertinent documents to assigned projects
Key Asset-Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Leading the cross functional Value and Access Team (VAT) to develop the IAS for ABBV-323 including market access value proposition, requirements for indication sequencing, presentation/devices and labeling, and environment shaping strategies
- Leading the cross-functional VAT to develop the IAS for ABBV-981 including market access value proposition, requirements for indication sequencing, presentation/devices and labeling, and environment shaping strategies
- Infusing the Market Access perspective on the Asset Strategy Team for ABBV-323
- Infusing the Market Access perspective on the Asset Strategy Team for ABBV-981
- Leading the development of the Market Access Value Proposition, Core Value Dossier, and early pricing strategy for Skyrizi pipeline indications
- Shaping and influencing the HTA submission strategy for Skyrizi pipeline indications
- Leading the development and preparation for early scientific advice for Skyrizi pipeline indications
- Shaping and influencing the pipeline perspective in the Skyrizi VAT
- Elevating the Market Access position in the Brand Strategy Team, Integrated Evidence Team and Label and Regulatory Strategy Team

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in Pricing and Market Access
- Education: B.A/B.S required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong clinical and disease area knowledge
- Experience in developing and managing market access strategies globally
- Experience in payer trends, evaluating drivers of market access success
- Knowledge of pricing policy & regulations and healthcare in key markets
- Understanding of regulatory agency requirements or policies that govern market approval, and the impact on reimbursement decisions
- Strong leadership, intrapersonal, critical thinking and analytical skills to work with a variety of groups in ensuring that the strategic direction for market access and pricing is in balance with the market as well as corporate goals
- Strong presentation and writing skills
- Education: prefer degree in a scientific or economic area. MBA and/or Pharmacy Degree preferred
