We are seeking a creative, and motivated Scientist to join our team. You will use your background in synthetic biology to develop next-generation technologies in cell therapy as you support our efforts focused on solid tumors indications.

The successful candidate will have a strong record of accomplishments and will be expected to work in a collaborative cross-functional team environment, performing experiments, organizing and analyzing results, communicating, and presenting findings in team meetings. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to):
  • Employ strategies for the genetic modification of human T cells with synNotch™, chimeric antigen receptor (CAR), or T cell receptor (TCR) based technologies.
  • Develop novel protein or RNA based technologies for cell therapy.
  • Design and oversee in vitro functional assays of human T cells.
  • Work with immunologists to engineer therapeutic circuits and proteins to test novel adoptive cell therapy approaches.
  • Effectively communicate plans and results in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic collaborative team environment.
  • Coordination of tasks across multiple projects, demonstrating prioritization and planning.
  • Interpret and effectively execute experiments in line with project timelines and goals.

  • Ph.D. Degree in Synthetic Biology/Bioengineering related field with 0-1 years of industry experience.
  • Previous experience engineering mammalian cells preferred but not required.
  • Protein, RNA, and/or circuit engineering background strongly preferred.
  • Nice to Have: Experience with lentiviral or retroviral transgene delivery. Familiarity with T cell phenotyping, cytotoxicity assays, proliferation, and cytokine/chemokine measurements.
