Manager, Institutional Contract Strategy and Management

YOU ARE more than just a title, YOU ARE...
  • An Innovative Account Manager. You will support both National and Regional Institutional accounts. You will support all aspects of contract development and will support the account managers (RM, DNA and DCA) with preparation of contracts.
  • A Communicative Leader . You will support aspects of contract negotiations and will prepare the associated Contract terms and conditions. You will work closely with Offer Development, Brand teams and the operations team. Contract responsibilities include: managing the development of contracts, the redline process and any associated bids, extensions and amendments. You will also support, ad hoc and special projects. You must maintain strong influential relationships with senior management.
  • A Compliant Leader. You must conduct their work activities in compliance with all Allergan internal requirements and with all applicable local regulatory requirements. Allergan internal requirements include compliance with ethics, environmental health and safety, financial, human resources, and general business policies, requirements and objectives
  • You will manage the contracting process from development through execution of agreements for the Institutional (GPO, Hospitals) channels. You will provide support on all bid solicitations, language negotiations and contract renewals, and service as the contract subject matter expert. You must exhibit an understanding of legal contract concepts and negotiation strategies. You will work closely the organization's Marketing, Legal, Compliance, and Contract Operations teams.


YOU WILL:
  • Contract lifecycle management activities including collecting composing, and/or preparing administrative components for bid submissions. Drafting, reviewing/editing, and negotiating of agreements, amendments and renewals.
  • Work with Legal, Contract Operations, Offer Development, Brand teams and Account Managers to assess contract risks and benefits.
  • Ensure timely review , approval, implementation and follow-through of assigned contract proposals.
  • Work closely with Contract Operations to ensure seamless transition of the contract from document/template status to implementation status.
  • Oversee/maintain the tracking of all document activity and touch points from inception through final execution.
  • Perform pricing/contract risk assessment analyses of contract strategy, tactics and contracted accounts.
  • Support all contract proposals vis-à-vis pricing, incremental sales and optimal profitability.
  • Regular data review and maintenance to ensure accuracy of contract terms and in line with organization's strategies, policies and applicable laws. Identify/recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain reports to effectively monitor and manage contracts performance;
  • Answers questions around contractual terms and pricing.


Qualifications

YOU BRING:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in Contract Development and Lifecycle Management
  • Strong redlining and negotiation skills are required
  • Strong business acumen; ability to "see the big picture"
  • Pharmaceutical/Medical Device Industry Experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Word and Adobe
  • Knowledge and use of ModelN/Revitas
  • Good communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities and change
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment
  • Attention to detail
