Job Description

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Define and implement strategic knowledge management capabilities, processes, tools, and services to enable Process Development staff to create, acquire, capture, share and use knowledge assets
  • Define and implement business objective-driven standards, processes, roles, and metrics to organize, secure, maintain, and dispose of data
  • Drive cross-functional adoption and effectiveness of knowledge management and information governance/record management practices and systems
  • Bring organizational leadership as a member of the Enterprise Technology and Solutions team
  • Provide team leadership to recruit, manage, and develop staff
  • Bring Innovation mindset and delivery-based agile approaches
  • Define and internally publish performance and growth metrics that drive results and continuous improvement in support of strategies and objectives
  • Strategically optimize service structure and processes, balancing demand, resources, and quality of service delivery
  • Engage and influence key business partners, IT stakeholders, and external vendors
  • Incorporate changes or advancements in technology and practices to bring competitive advantage to Kite Pharma Process Development
  • Lead strategic engagements with external partners for system-related projects, managed services, and licensing agreements
  • Demonstrate leadership in professional and industry networks


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree +12 years experience or Masters +10 years experience in technical, scientific, information, or management field preferred
  • Information technology or information systems experience
  • Experience with record and information management preferred
  • Experience with leading teams using Agile methodologies and tools strongly preferred
  • Experience in the biopharma industry strongly preferred
  • Certifications in Knowledge Management, Information Management, and/or Record Management preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and able to effectively handle multiple projects or activities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to resource and lead large-scale, cross-functional projects within budget
  • Ability to establish and manage multiple competing priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work in partnership with others in a collaborative or advisory role
  • Comfortable briefing executive level summaries and detailed operational level reviews
  • Experience developing and managing IT related vendor contracts with knowledge of common licensing, support, and maintenance constructs preferred
  • Experience establishing effective partnerships within and outside the organization; maintains productive and positive interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to mentor, coach, and effectively transfer expertise to others
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and develop staff
  • Strategic thinker. Ability to manage multiple goals and deadlines
