Job Summary:

This position will lead a team of model-based drug development/Clinical Pharmacology scientists in support of our Specialty Medicine (SM) drug development and commercialization activities. This position will be accountable for the model-based drug development (MBDD) plans and deliverables across all of our SM programs. This position will serve as the QCP rep on the Translation Medicine Forum to ensure that the MBDD plans are aligned with the SM strategy and embedded within the SM programs. In addition, this position will establish the Quantitative Systems Pharmacology (QSP) capability within DSI and work to build QSP models supporting the entire (Onc and SM) portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Strategic leadership and functional management of MBDD drug development scientists supporting SM objectives

Accountable for quality of MBDD (including QSP) plans and for quality and timeliness of team deliverables

Responsible for creating and maintaining internal and external networks to support MBDD including QSP objectives

Member of SM Strategy and Portfolio Committee, and SM Protocol Review Committee representing QCP

Member of G-QCP Committee and QCP-West Leadership Team and assigned deliverables

Lead a team of experienced managers as direct and indirect reports. Continuously build team capability through high quality talent selection, mentoring, coaching, and professional development.

Education/Experience:

PhD, PharmD, and/or MD
10-15 years
