Environmental Health & Safety Specialist

Your Tasks:
As a member the Miltenyi Biotec team, you will have the opportunity to plan and coordinate a wide range of Environmental Health and Safety activities in support of facility operations at our Silicon Valley site and additional U.S. sites as needed. You will be responsible for planning the safety and environmental health related activities including, conducting safety related audits, Job Safety Analysis, OSHA assessments, and identify, abate or eliminate sources of potential pollutants or environmental hazards. In addition to, ensuring that safety processes and procedures are complete and up to date with state and local regulations. As a result, you will support the management of facility operations and continued success of our company as a whole.

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years’ experience in an EHS capacity with 3 of those years being within the life sciences industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Thorough understanding of EHS regulations at the state and local levels including OSHA requirements
• Ability to travel occasionally

Assessments and audits will be conducted in office, manufacturing, laboratories, warehouse, mechanical/utility areas and the facility’s roof. Work may occur in other locations as required. Due to the travel requirements, this position may be exposed to natural elements of nature.
