Director, GCD Marketing, Eye Care

YOU ARE more than just a title, YOU ARE...

• A Leader in Asset Optimization. You will function as Global Commercial Lead (GCL) and drive alignment across Global Commercial Development, International and US Commercial by enabling information flow to optimize each asset opportunity.
• A Key Strategic Partner. You will contribute to the global strategy and asset prioritization in close partnership with development teams and regional area leads.

YOU WILL:

• Lead analysis of respective market and asset opportunities; identifying key segment value drivers, growth opportunities, target product profiles, product positioning and revenue potential to maximize the asset; and representing the analysis at milestone executive governance meetings
• Drive development of early brand plans, including strategic positioning and early launch planning, by crystalizing commercial and strategic insights through analysis of product, brand, customer, consumer, and competitive information
• Support development of scientific platform and driving data generation to satisfy requirements for regional target product label and associated target product claims
• Lead internal processes that accurately reflect asset opportunity and providing the necessary analysis and support for business needs, e.g. Long Range Plan, Lifecycle Management
• Develop compelling presentations to convey diverse asset strategies to broad sets of stakeholder audiences, including senior executives via governance committees
• Functioning as the eyecare commercial voice at Brand Strategy Team, Therapeutic Asset Strategy Council (TASC), and Asset Strategy Teams (AST) meetings with Eye Care and organizational leadership

Qualifications

YOU BRING:

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 10 years of relevant experience with a successful track record in pharmaceutical marketing - strong analytical and strategic marketing skills
• Previous experience in Commercial Development, Pipeline Management, In-line Marketing and/or Pharma Consulting roles, preferably within Eyecare
• Experience in strategic positioning of products for success within competitive environments
• Scientific acumen & therapeutic understanding, with the ability to analyze complex datasets
• Strong financial acumen with a good understanding of P&L drivers and the ability to develop appropriate investment & sales forecasts
• Deep understanding and experience of US &/or EU market access environments
• Experience with launch &/or on-market commercial teams an advantage
• Experience working within matrix-based teams and project management
Works collaboratively and proactively, maintains high degree of planning, coordination & project management skills, demonstrated ability to problem solve & resolve conflict with diplomacy
• Builds strong relationships with peers and cross functional partners outside of immediate team
• Self-starter, learns fast, quickly grasps the essence of concepts, can change course rapidly where required, demonstrates intellectual curiosity
• Open to suggestion & experimentation for improvement, embraces ideas from others, encourages innovation but matches innovation to reality
