Senior Financial Analyst, 3 rd Party Manufacturing

YOU ARE more than just a title, YOU ARE...
  • A Key Strategic Team Leader. You will support the Assoc. Director Finance, TPM and is responsible for the day to day accounting of Allergan's Global Third-Party Manufacturing / Virtual Plant Operations. Providing full accounting and financial decision support to the Business Unit, this position will work as part of the Global Operations Finance team.
  • A Key Innovative Forward-Thinker. You will help in evaluating and monitoring financial performance, financial controls, forecast, budgets, inputs for product standards and investment plans as well as day to day accounting needs. With ~70 TPM sites the role will work very closely with the Supply Chain Planning & TPM teams in understanding day to day business activities helping to ensure the business unit achieve its financial targets.
  • An Organized Collaborator. You will also be responsible for the timely & accurate recording of all finance transactions in accordance with US GAAP & Allergan's FAAPM.

YOU WILL:
  • Prepare and analyze information to ensure month end close is completed in accordance with tight reporting deadlines. Including Material variances, material usage analysis, PPV, Inventory valuation & reconciliation & Inventory reserves & Inventory expenses.
  • Support the Annual Budget Process & preparing updates to Business Plans as required. (Forecast Rolling Updates)
  • Assist the COE in creation and maintenance of standards.
  • Support any requirements from external and internal auditors.
  • Provide finance support to projects and investment / change initiatives.
  • Develop analytics to monitor the financial performance and trends of the business unit, providing accurate, relevant & timely finance information to the business unit enabling it to meet its finance commitments.
  • Preparation of Departmental Management Reports (Actual V Forecast V Budget).
  • Analysis and explain of manufacturing variances.
  • Review of standard costs to assess ongoing reasonableness.


Qualifications

YOU BRING:
  • Minimum 5+ years financial management experience, experience within the Pharmaceutical industry/cost accounting a plus
  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and cost accounting methods
  • Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Performance measurement, benchmarking
  • Principles and practices of budget preparation and administration
  • Software applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Global, multicultural, and multi-site environment
  • Must be results oriented with a can-do attitude
  • Financial modeling, data analysis
  • Analyzing financial results to enable business decisions
  • Cost accounting methodology
  • Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Managing and prioritizing multiple projects, duties and assignments
  • Establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with colleagues, management and senior executives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment or independently
