Tissue Documentation Coordinator II

What Your New Manager Wants You To Know

I am looking for an experienced Tissue Documentation Coordinator II is responsible for the Assembly of high quality complete donor files, obtaining serological testing results, data entry and SAP transactions. This includes working with a Specialist to obtain all relevant pertinent medical and recovery history of each donor in a timely manner. During the process of obtaining and creating the donor medical file, a series of steps is required ranging from initial data entry of information into the SAP system to the complete review (Level 1) and analysis of the information to ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and AATB standards. The donor file is ultimately sent to both the Level 2 and 3 reviewers for determination of donor eligibility. This position has responsibility for the final transactions in SAP. This position is responsible daily for completion of assigned work. It is expected this position will manage the workload to ensure operation within the set metrics of the department. This function also has the responsibility to provide a "customer service" environment for both the assigned Tissue Recovery Partners and the Life Cell Tissue Services Field Operations staff assigned to that region.

You Will

  • Establish positive relationships with Tissue Recovery Partners
  • Act as a contact to Tissue Recovery Partners when directed to address any specific issues identified by Level 2 or Level 3 reviews and provide rapid follow up and rework to resolve these issues
  • Act as support person for the collection and compilation of donor medical and recovery records for assigned Tissue Recovery Partners. Provide backup support for Senior Specialists during absences or to meet the demands of the department. Enter serology results as deemed required
  • Recognize discrepancies or information gaps present in donor medical charts and retrieve information as appropriate
  • Ensure all Level 1 reviews of donor records pertaining to their assignments are accurate and complete
  • Assure all donor medical and recovery files are complete and in compliance with AATB standards, FDA, state regulations and in accordance with Life Cell LOPs and other requirements


Qualifications

You Bring
  • At least 1 to 3 years work experience
  • High School Diploma or College Degree
  • Preferred previous work in the medical or nursing field such as nursing school attendee, medical records administration, EMT or other experience within the tissue donation industry
  • Must have ability to analyze data and prioritize, triage work tasks
  • Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail, possess good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to multitask daily
  • Must be customer oriented
  • Must have ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with all levels of diverse cultures
