Job Details
KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the Leidos Quality Assurance plan for construction in accordance with the general approach of USACE three phase process
- Perform quality checks of Architecture & Engineering (A&E) design firm deliverables
- Perform review of Subcontractor QC plans and work closely with the FME Project Manager and the FME Construction Administrator to monitor subcontractor and project performance against the approved plans
- Perform audits of standard reports and logs to verify specified level of quality is being met
- Review documents for content, accuracy, and compliance
- Develop and monitor quality assurance standards
- Prepare guidance documents
- Review records, test results, and data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with specifications and requirements
- Track and monitor assigned projects
- Identify risk and evaluate deficiencies while working with FME groups to appropriately remedy such risks
- Recommend alternative courses of action and possible solutions for improvement of workflow and paperwork management
- Assist with the creation, implementation, and follow up of Corrective and Preventive Actions
- Write SOPs and Quality Assurance plans
- Participate in the review and revision of standard operating procedures to adhere to regulatory regulations
- Prepare standard operating procedures for quality control
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Construction Management, engineering or an associated field according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education). Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency
- A minimum of 8 years combined experience in any of the following positions: Project Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Engineer or Quality Control/ Quality Assurance specialist
- Demonstrated competency in the creation, update and implementation of Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans for multimillion-dollar construction projects
- Completion of the USACE course Construction Quality Management (CQM) for contractors
- Must possess current CQM certificate
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite of applications, particularly Excel
- Must have experience with OSHA and construction safety practices
- Ability to analyze data using routine statistical approaches and make succinct and accessible as well as defensible recommendations based on the analyses
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers license with no more than 3 demerit points in the previous twelve (12) months or five (5) demerit points in the preceding thirty-six (36) months as determined by the Leidos Biomed Use of Government Owned or Leased Vehicles Policy
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 plus years' experience as a QA Manager
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience with mediating to resolution
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
