Position Overview

The Corporate Recruiter is responsible for driving a best-in-class global recruiting capability for Molecular Templates. This position will be primarily accountable for manufacturing, operations, and corporate career positions. Support for recruitment of scientific and other specialist positions may be required from time to time. The Recruiter plays a key role in developing and delivering best in class recruitment services to ensure MTEM is positioned to attract and recruit exceptional talent.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in building a sourcing model that will enable MTEM to develop a strong, diverse, and talented pipeline. This includes providing knowledge of the external competitive landscape, insights into trends, themes, and opportunities
  • Provide a high-quality experience for candidates and hiring managers throughout the entire hiring processes from sourcing, selection and during the interviewing process
  • Ensure alignment of recruiting activities with business goals and objectives are met balancing speed with attention to detail ensuring the best outcome
  • Seek out and introduce new innovative approaches and cutting-edge recruitment practices while staying abreast of industry trends and talent dynamics
  • Partner with business leaders and HR to create and drive proactive recruiting strategies for both current level positions as well as anticipated future needs
  • Partner with Higher Education community; attends Job and Career fairs and is an active participant in community relations
  • Effectively manage relationships with staff, the Talent team, and HR Business partners progressing collaboration
  • Educate candidates on the specifics of the position and recruitment process, as well as influencing passive candidates to strongly consider a position at MTEM
  • Conduct detailed candidate assessments which include screening for technical skills and leadership capabilities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, and 8+ years of full life cycle recruiting experience is required.
  • Experience in medium- or large-sized pharmaceutical or other complex organizations is desired. Life Sciences experience is highly preferred.
  • Must have internal recruiting experience to be considered for this role.
  • Experience with high volume recruiting for a medium to large pharmaceutical or biotech industry business is desired.
  • Experience structuring, negotiating, and delivering complex offers including but not limited to an understanding of compensation and stock awards.
  • Proven experience delivering results by driving innovation and exhibiting subject matter expertise to influence business hiring decisions.
  • Strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Exercises discretion and confidentiality; is able to work independently.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Strong leadership and relationship building skills.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to express ideas in a persuasive, confident, organized, and articulate manner.


Reporting Structure:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition
