The Associate Quality Control will provide analytical testing support for the Quality Control Microbiology laboratory at Amgen, Thousand Oaks. The QC Microbiology lab performs analytical test methods such as Bioburden (TAMC), Sterility, Growth Promotion and Polymerase Chain Reaction among other tests.

Responsibilities include:
  • Daily laboratory testing of the test methods mentioned above
  • Analysis of analytical test results and reporting of raw data into various laboratory information management systems
  • Lab support activities such as management of lab consumables and equipment maintenance/work order completion
  • Operating specialized laboratory equipment
  • Daily communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Implementation of lab improvements to ensure an efficient and productive lab environment


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • OR
  • Associate's degree and 4 years of Quality experience
  • OR
  • High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Quality experience


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a GMP Lab
  • Aseptic technique
  • Experience with working in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Experience with working in teams to deliver on business needs
  • Understanding of the basic principles of Microbiology
