DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibilities

Execute daily operation of flow cytometry core facility including daily QC, maintenance, and troubleshooting Standardization and characterizing cytometers within the core facility Contribute to the development and implementation of longitudinal analytical methods Oversee training for end users and provide subject matter expertise with instrumentation and analysis Detail work performed in technical writing including Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and report righting in a controlled document setting. Collaborate with various groups to support CAR-T analytical programs

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's in a scientific discipline with 8-10 years relevant industry experience.

Experience

Ability to work on multiple platforms of cytometry systems

Demonstrated experience with polychromatic (13+ color) flow cytometry panels

Experience with BD Software highly desirable

Sorting experience a plus

Core experience a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS (US Only):

The Associate Scientist (AS) will be exposed to general BSL-2 laboratory environments where proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be worn at all times. The temperature and noise levels will be ambient. The AS will work directly with cytometry systems where lighting may be dimmed. Additionally, the AS will interface with cell sorter systems as well as be involved with common wet bench reagents and supplies. The AS will lift 50 pounds occasionally. The desk work will occur in an office setting where the AS will be able to sit or stand as they choose at an ergonomic desk.
