Who You Are

Our new Revenue Manager will be responsible for monthly and quarterly accounting processes for product revenue, collaboration revenue, and product inventory/cost accounting, emphasizing gross-to-net reporting. This role will report to the Director of Revenue and support the Controller and CAO with other tasks as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately calculate and post various journal entries related to month-end, including certain gross-to-net accruals, revenue recognition, inventory, cost accounting, accounts receivable, etc.
  • Perform account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts, identify outliers, and establish and communicate the plan for timely corrective action
  • Analyze sales, rates, wholesaler inventories, returns, in-transit shipments, Medicaid, and other data for accuracy and completeness to ensure appropriate reserves and resolves variances to forecast
  • Assist in the development of monthly/quarterly dashboards to track key financial and performance metrics (i.e., sales history, inventory levels, pricing discounts, etc.)
  • Utilize Excel to collect and reformat data for efficient analysis of data.
  • Provide appropriate financial analysis as necessary, including but not limited to profitability, trend, and variance analysis
  • Collaborate with Market Access, Commercial Finance, Sales and Marketing, Pricing, and Accounting teams to ensure all components contemplated in the gross to net revenue accounting and forecast are accurate and complete
  • Manage product and collaboration revenue AR to ensure timely collection of customer invoices and prompt dispute resolution. Acts as the primary point of escalation to include working with internal departments and customers to drive problem resolution
  • Prepare technical accounting memorandums outlining the accounting treatment of product and collaboration revenue-related transactions (i.e., ASC 606 and ASC 808) and inventory/cost accounting
  • Support SEC disclosure requirements for ASC606 revenue-related reporting matters
  • Support group deliverables and compliance with external and internal auditors including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requests and quarterly/annual reviews
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of US GAAP and solid accounting skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and interpretation of data
  • Additional duties as needed

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of Big 4 Accounting experience required, preferably with clients that were biotech/pharma with a commercial product
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in a publicly-traded biotech/pharma with gross-to-net and collaboration revenue experience.
  • CPA license preferred
  • BA or BS degree in finance/accounting
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to prepare and support effective presentations of financial results and/or analytical findings
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel working with pivot tables, v-lookups, and other functions
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and SEC rules
  • In-depth knowledge of SOX requirements
