Job Details

MyoKardia is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to be responsible for the full cycle of accounts payable which will include vendor invoices, employee reimbursement, cash disbursement, manual checks as they arise, credit card reconciliation and update and maintain accounting journals. This individual will also manage accounts payable processors, conduct employee performance evaluations, establish work plans, and foster a team environment.

Position Requirements
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable department.
  • Manage vendor and payment service issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Review vendor invoices and employee expense reports. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all disbursements thru Concur as well as credit card payments and reconciliation on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for preparing AP related accruals and running reports for the month end financial close process.
  • Reconcile AP accounts and ensure aging items are managed proactively.
  • Responsible for annual 1099 filings and accuracy of vendor master file.
  • Liaise with auditors and support SOX requests.
  • Identify process improvement initiatives and define standards for new processes.
  • Ensures all invoices are coded to the correct General Ledger accounts and cost centers.
  • Prepares and processes weekly check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.
  • Vendor tracking, collection of W9's, and issuance of 1099-misc forms.
  • Reviews open purchase orders.
  • Answers employee and vendor inquires related to the purchasing process, expense reporting, and/or invoice issues.
  • Assists with the month end close, entering journal entries, and other projects as needed.
  • Participate on various projects as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directly supervises AP specialist.


Desired Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or equivalent is required
  • A Minimum of 4+ years experience in Accounts Payable management
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, organization and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and willingness to take on challenges
  • Resourceful and not afraid to roll up your sleeves
