SUMMARY
Responsible for managing all import and export activities for the North America region in compliance with all customs regulations. Directly manage all day to day distribution and reporting activities at our 3PL locations in both the U.S. and Canada and serve as primary point of contact for managing the relationships with the 3PL providers. This position also is part of a team managing replenishment and CMO relationships and will serve as back up or take part in these activities. Responsible for the creation and management of a budget for all freight and warehousing expenses and actively seeks methods to optimize cost and service structure. Actively manage logistics spend and provide regular status reports to leadership as well as identifying opportunities to optimize spend through innovation and benchmarking. Will independently manage the above functions and primarily interact with key internal Executives in Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Med Info and Legal departments. Externally this position will represent Lundbeck with key 3PL and transportation executives in support of managing the business contracts and relationships.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Independently execute all imports and exports assuring compliance with all customs regulations and product storage label requirements. Develop and maintain all import / export documentation and files as required per customs regulations. Provide functional expertise to others within Lundbeck as required.
  • Serve as International Trade Regulations and Compliance designee and primary company contact for all government agency inquiries, request for information and communication responses specific to product imports, exports and Customs clearance activities.
  • Lead serialization compliance initiatives for markets served and ensure data integrity is maintained within SAP system.
  • Independently manage daily distribution activities in both the U.S. and Canada. Engage 3PL personnel to coordinate all shipping / receiving transactions as well as all wholesaler and specialty RX communications (pricing, inventory, etc.).
  • Serve as Lundbeck's primary liaison in managing the business relationship with our 3PL distribution partners in the U.S. and Canada. Organize and lead quarterly business reviews and coordinate annual cycle counts and biannual compliance audits as required.
  • Responsible for and actively work to optimize distribution agreements and shipment routes/methods to maintain and improve reliability and cost while ensuring our high-quality standards. Establish daily, weekly, monthly and ADHOC inventory sales reports.
  • Serve as liaison with 3PL to establish access to distribution system reports for appropriate Lundbeck personnel and act as internal help desk to resolve all issues.
  • Responsible for inventory replenishment of finished goods and components as required to specialty pharmacy HUB locations (Lundbeck US owned inventory).
  • Support all year end regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP regulations and that Standard Operation Procedures are followed.
  • Assure inventory integrity at distribution sites by working with 3PL providers and other internal functional areas to research and resolve issues and discrepancies as required. Work with Quality function and 3PL's to support product recall activities as required.
  • Provide support for global pipeline initiatives, as required


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
  • Accredited Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of supply chain or operations experience
  • Proficiency in freight and distribution modules within global MRP system. (i.e. SAP)
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Well organized and results oriented, with demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments of varying complexity and ability to work on own
  • Demonstrated ability to lead internal stakeholders and build consensus
  • Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation, collaboration and executive presentation skills

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • Accredited Masters Degree
  • 3+ years in pharmaceutical industry including in depth knowledge of GMP/lot control
  • 3+ years import / export experience
  • 2+ years in Cold Chain distribution
  • International Trade Compliance Certification


TRAVEL
  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 10% domestically. International travel may be required.
