Executive Director, SMD (Spasticity & Movement Disorders)

YOU ARE more than just a title, YOU ARE...
• A Key Innovative Business Driver. You are responsible for promotional and business strategies for the SMD franchise, which includes the spasticity and movement disorder indications of BOTOX® Therapeutic, including professional campaign development, lifecycle strategy, competitive planning, product launches. This position works in close collaboration with: sales and sales planning, managed markets, medical affairs, sales planning, finance, and commercial operations.
• An Implementation Strategic Thinker. You will lead and manage the development and implementation of the annual SMD strategic marketing plans, budgets and sales forecasts and for new and established indications to achieve sales and profit objectives. You will direct the marketing team to maximize utilization of resources as well as develops marketing managers.
• A Collaborative Key Player. You will report to the VP Neuro/Uro Marketing and will interface with other teams to identify opportunities for increased productivity and synergy in the short-term and plan for development and management of opportunities in the long-term for commercialization.

• Manage and direct team. Directs team in the development of SMD business strategy and associated plan, product budgets, sales forecasts and production forecasts for SMD indications to achieve sales and profit objectives. Allocates appropriate resources to achieve goals and monitors expenses to ensure profit targets are achieved. Leads business strategies and corresponding product life cycle plans - lifecycle management, competitive threats and other product introduction opportunities.
• Execute and develop strategies. Leads Marketing Strategy and execution for the National Accounts team. This person is the marketing lead for the national accounts team (DNA team) and helps with strategic and competitive planning, tool development and contracting for this team.
• Develop and maintain various skills. Ensures development of marketing and management skills of direct reports. Specific skill development includes market and financial, sales and expense budget/forecast development and monitoring analysis, strategy development and effectiveness and efficiency in development/implementation of promotional mix.
• Maintain and develop customer focus. Develops and maintains a customer focus that includes effective working relationships with key KOL customers, sales leadership and cross functional stakeholders.


• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advance degree is desired.
• At least 10 years of professional industry experience, including at least 3+ years in managerial positions at a medium-to-large company, preferably in global marketing functions within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Ideally 5+ years in Marketing Leadership.
• In-depth knowledge of pharma industry marketing, sales and business development with established track record in managing industry-based marketing functions preferred
• Experience working in or with other regions/countries highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to lead people and manage budgets.
• Highly desired: launch experience
• Proven general management skills and leadership capabilities including the ability to work effectively at all levels and across organization boundaries.
• Ability to travel 30-40%.
