This role will be responsible for strategizing, developing and deploying our Real World Data (RWD) initiatives at AbbVie. This person will work with our R&D leaders to build consensus on deploying solutions that will help our organization use our information to define insights about our products and therapeutic areas to improve our patients lives.

RWD AbbVie Lead Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross functional teams (HEOR, GMA DSS, EPI and Safety) and Asset Management Teams to understand asset-level RWD strategies and data needs.
• Partner with the Convergence team on use cases.
• Strategize with the business on internal and external real world data sources, technologies and/or analytical approaches/ capabilities, across geographies.
• Partner with all RWE projects to supply RWD for appropriate resourcing/ prioritization.
• Ability to work with and interact with executive leaders.
• Drive cross-pollination across AbbVie and ensure RWD analytics capabilities , visualizations and data standards remain cutting-edge.
• Evaluate RW datasets and participate in data quality evaluations and "fit for purpose" discussions.
• Lead RWD project teams on delivering RWD tools, data solutions and partnerships.
• Liaise with other RWD centers, OHDSI, EDHEN and other data hubs.
• Ensure that all RWD information is catalogued.
• Establish and execute an RWD governance structure.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• 14 + years of software development experience.
• Experience building and deploying Cloud computing concepts and technologies.
• Experience building and deploying large database applications, preferably other RWD solutions.
• Experience working with electronic health records, medical claims or registry datasets.
• Understand data privacy regulations and de identification methodologies.
• Able to motivate and channel energy of others toward a common purpose
• Ability to seamlessly interact on both business and scientific issues.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with external customers and experts.
• Strong decision-making skills.
• Excellent matrix, interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Works tenaciously through difficulties to achieve best results.
• Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
