The Senior Manager, Sales Analytics is responsible for developing and implementing Sales Operations strategies/tactics that optimize performance of the Sales, Patient Service and Market Access functions to ensure the successful launch and growth of Zolgensma. This role provides support for the Novartis Gene Therapies commercial field in targeting, Incentive plan design and payout and field analytics support.

  • Manage field team alignment design and maintenance
  • Design the field force IC plan and execution
  • Support field sizing project and implementation
  • Fulfill role of conducting field ad hoc performance analysis
  • Implement field targeting profile and execution field call plan
  • Manage field sales leaders performance request and support the commercial sales teams inquires
  • Ad-hoc data analysis within our commercial data warehouse environment.
  • Other related job duties as assigned.

  • B.S. in mathematics, statistics, or other analytics-related degree.
  • 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical Master Data Management, Sales Operations
  • and/or Sales Analytics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing SQL queries to answer business questions.
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence (BI) tools; including the process of
  • connecting BI tools with back-end data tables in a data warehouse.
  • Experience as a CRM systems administrator and/or providing CRM related support to
  • field team members.
  • Experience working with Salesforce, Veeva Network and Veeva OpenData.
  • Experience working with a national sales team and zip to territory alignments.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, proven ability in translating ideas into concepts,
  • gaining budget and delivering results against budget on time.
  • Ability to consult, draw out issues, conduct root cause analysis and build customer focused recommendations.
  • Ability to prioritize critical tasks and maintain high degree of accuracy amid competing
  • deadlines.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong PC and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven process improvement skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time/ task management skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a global, matrix organization.
  • Strategic thinker who can connect the dots across functions and find practical solutions.
