Bristol Myers Squibb's Cell Therapy business is entering an exciting new phase as it begins the commercialization of its first CAR-T products. Commercialization drives new scope, scale, and complexity across the network, and requires manufacturing sites, global organizations, and IT systems to work together in new ways.

The Associate Director, Project Management Lead for Cell Therapy Business Process Management (BPM Project Management Lead) works with the Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) team to manage and maintain the project management process, tools, and methodologies to support execution of the portfolio of projects and enhancements to enable CTDO late stage clinical and commercial operations.

The BPM Project Management Lead contributes to the success of the PPM team by applying a structured project management approach to complex projects that optimizes planning and delivery of the portfolio of projects. The BPM Project Management Lead is responsible for scoping, resourcing, and supporting delivery of the prioritized list of committed projects from the BPM Portfolio Manager. The BPM Project Management Lead manages the team of internal and external project management resources, including assignment to programs and projects and hiring and onboarding internal and external resources.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limitedto,thefollowing:
  • Workcross-functionally with business and IT teams to supportCell Therapy
  • Manage team of project managers focused on project and program delivery
  • Own BPM project management process, tools, and methodology
  • Enable continuous improvement of BPM project management process, tools, and methodology
  • Manage execution of project portfolio from commitment through to delivery
  • Facilitate decision-making within the portfolio management process and escalation to governing bodies
  • Own and facilitate the planning forums with partner portfolio teams including the sites and IT
  • Generate insightful reports and communications to inform a very broad stakeholder community of project delivery progress
  • Partner with other leaders across the Project & Portfolio Management team to determine resource needs for planning and delivery
  • Provide coaching and guidance to project management team members
  • Represent CTDO BPM PPM to vendors, maintain appropriate vendor relationships, and manage vendor contracting process


Skills/KnowledgeRequired:
  • Bachelor'sDegreein Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Information Systems, Business, Engineering or similar area.
  • 8+years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical industrypreferred).
  • Excellent knowledge of and competency in project management processes, including planning, resource planning and allocation, risk and issue management
  • Experience with large projects or programs, e.g., rollout of IT systems like ERP
  • Abilitytowork and drive issues to resolutionindependently and cooperatively in a diverse group
  • Ability to provide leadership, guidance and coaching to members of the organization
  • Demonstrates high degree of executive presence with ability to deliver executive level presentations, challenge assumptions and drive decision making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management certification or designation desired
  • Knowledgeofapplications such as Microsoft Office Suite, SmartSheet, Microsoft Project or similar project management software, etc.
  • Ability to travel 10%
