For the Temp Project Planner & Master Scheduler position we are looking for an individual to work closely with partners to plan, develop, supervise, control, and update schedules for clinical studies using Microsoft Project in a MS-Project Server environment.

As a Project Planner & Master Scheduler on a typical day you might:
  • Gather information and identify, prioritize, and plan the sequence of work to be performed for a clinical study. Develop schedules using templates to identify what is to be done and when will it occur.
  • Obtain activity status on a periodic basis to update and maintain an accurate schedule.
  • Analyze variance between planned and actual performance. Propose options to take corrective actions to avoid delays and optimize the schedule.
  • Create an initial schedule baseline of a study. Save the history in order to compare the original plan to the actual results. Learn from it to prevent problems on future clinical studies, as well as make better time estimates. Manage changes to the approved schedule baseline.
  • Communicate issues that could impact adherence to the baselines, to elevate awareness to relevant partners.
  • Perform "what-if" analysis to optimize the schedules.
  • Improve and evolve the scheduling templates.
  • Implement scheduling standard methodologies.

  • Deep knowledgeable about how organizations work; understands the origin and reasoning behind key policies, practices, and procedures.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience creating and maintaining project schedules using MS-Project. Drug development or clinical development pharmaceutical experience preferred. Project Management Institute (PMI) Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications preferred.
