SUMMARY:

MyoKardia is seeking an experienced Sr. IT Applications Manager to lead the operational support, maintenance, and development activities for G&A applications. This role determines business requirements, conducts business process analysis, and manages administration and development activities. In this role, you will work closely with Finance, Legal, HR, vendors, IT Infrastructure and Data Management and other internal groups to align requirements to system configurations. This seasoned IT professional will have a deep technical background and significant experience developing business processes and managing projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be responsible for:
  • Leads project teams responsible for application software implementation and upgrades. Works closely with technical staff, vendors, and contacts from other groups to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
  • Drive RFP process for selection of software vendors, system implementors, service providers, etc.
  • Monitors and implements finance system changes and administers access to finance systems and information utilizing approved information technology security policies, standards, and guidelines. Follows SOX control requirements where applicable.
  • Assesses customer and/or business process requirements; analyzes structure and flow of work and data that support needs; evaluates possible solutions and implements and/or recommends solutions.
  • Manages vendors to ensure that the business requirements are understood, and all deliverables meet the planned objectives in terms of time, cost and quality
  • Oversees projects in platforms such as Data Warehousing, Data Integration, Analytics/Dashboard/Tableau Reporting
  • Creates and maintains standards, procedures, and documentation related to area of responsibility. May participate in system audits for SOX controls, ensuring a secure processing environment that protects the integrity and availability of information.
  • Assist in the development of IT project management, security, compliance and governance initiatives.
  • Assists the business with defining test plans and provides best practices around change and release management for application enhancements
  • Ensure that the different software applications in the program are operational and meeting the customer requirements of intended use

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Education:
  • Bachelors of Science in CS, MIS, related technical degree or equivalent work experience with minimum of 4 years of technical work experience
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • May require certification in assigned area.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive IT experience in supporting enterprise applications in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years managing a ERP system.
  • Experience in cardiovascular drug development is desirable

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Knowledge of ERP and HRIS system platforms, integrations, and best practices
  • Experience with Netsuite and Ultimate Software will be a plus
  • Knowledge of system design, development, implementation, and user support principles
  • Strong working knowledge with Sarbanes-Oxley, GxP Validated Systems and GDPR Regulations
  • Data Warehousing, Data Integration, Analytics/Dashboard/Tableau Reporting experience
  • Self-starter with ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Prior experience working in the Life Science industry including pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device required
  • Demonstrated skill in developing automated business systems
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Experience working with and understanding Finance, HR, and Legal business processes
