We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced research associate to join the Zebrafish Core to support our discovery and development efforts pertaining to mechanisms induced from biological experiments. It will be necessary to produce the various molecular constructs to generate the appropriate models for human disease studies.

On a day to day basis, an R&D Specialist in this role will:

- conduct functional modeling experiments such as molecular cloning, DNA and RNA extraction, DNA sequencing, gene expression studies and microscopy.

- Work with research animals including zebrafish embryo manipulation, immunostaining and microscopy, and assistance with maintenance of adult zebrafish stocks.

- Generate CRISPR/Cas9 constructs to produce genetically zebrafish models to study a variety of disease-relevant perturbations

- Histological preparations and perform morphometric analyses

- Write protocols and study reports

- Perform data analyses/interpretation and prepare presentations
