SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Market Access and Specialty Pharmacy Operations will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of Lundbeck's contracted specialty pharmacies to ensure contract compliance and optimal performance across the assigned portfolios. The individual in this role will collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities to enhance and implement enhanced specialty pharmacy programs that support the brand strategy and reduce real and perceived patient access barriers. This individual will liaise with the National Trade Account Executive, to ensure the seamless implementation and pull through of the market access tactics across the specialty pharmacy channel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Serve as the primary owner for programs across all contracted specialty pharmacies (SP) on implementation of contracted programs, including day-to-day operations and performance management
  • Lead the planning, tracking and implementation of specialty pharmacy programs by serving as the business unit liaison with internal cross functional teams and externally as appropriate
  • Liaise with Lundbeck Business Insights team to develop analytics and KPIs and quarterly business review's (QBRs) to manage specialty pharmacy performance against contract deliverables
  • As needed (daily/weekly/bi-weekly), conduct conference calls with SP Program managers to review service performance and specialty pharmacy operations.
  • Innovates on and drives continuous improvement and program enhancements to meet brand objectives.
  • Collaborates with National Trade Account Executive to gather insights from SPs, deploy programs and monitor contract performance and quality
  • Monitor and communicate payer trends to Lundbeck Payer team as reported by SPs.
  • Support access with creation of SP tools required for pharmacy use or for internal training or HCP/ patient use
  • Actively participate in QBR meetings or other critical meetings with National Trade Account Executive to ensure a connection between the service and business objectives
  • Works with training counterpart to develop training and pull-through tactics for the sales organization
  • Collaborates with legal and compliance for concept reviews and leads materials through legal and regulatory review process
  • Contributes to Brand planning as it relates to critical success factors that may be supported by SP interventions
  • Represents program performance in scheduled Brand reviews and sales meetings
  • Liaises with the data operations team to support organizational data requirements available through the specialty pharmacy programs


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
  • Accredited Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of sales, marketing or other relevant commercial or analytical experience
  • 3+ years of experience developing or managing Market Access programs in the pharmaceutical / medical / healthcare industry
  • Experience managing Specialty Pharmacy programs
  • Vendor management experience
  • Working knowledge of patient services programs
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to understand complex operational flows and interdependencies
  • Sound decision-making, which ensures that solutions meet cross-functional / business needs (e.g., consider legal, regulatory and/or compliance implications)
  • Effective communication and relationship building / management skills
  • Strong analytic capability
  • Able to influence without authority
  • Able to challenge others and hold them accountable
  • Able to plan and organize work, and multiple, simultaneous tasks


PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
  • Prior experience with Neurology and Psychiatry products, and any of the following: pharmaceutical sales, sales management, marketing, brand analytics, account management, customer service or experience through employment by a specialty pharmacy distributor or market access provider
  • Medical benefit experience.


TRAVEL
  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 35% domestically. International travel may be required.
