The Technology Asset Management (TAM) Optimization & Compliance Manager acts as a transformational thought leader to develop and manage the collection and analysis of IT asset data to enhance operations, improve efficiency, manage costs and ensure compliance to vendor agreements and company policies. The role is to effectively plan, execute and manage optimization and compliance strategies that support hardware and software asset life cycles. This includes providing oversight for enterprise-wide software license compliance/governance and global hardware eWaste operations. The position will be responsible for providing recommendations and driving execution of cost savings initiatives to reduce ~$170M+ annual software spend in support of business goals and affordability objectives. In concert with senior leaders, this role will contribute to the development of TAM vision to include strategy and a roadmap that encompasses tools, processes, and managing/developing a staff of 4-7 IT professionals. Must have previous experience and success assigning tasks, monitoring and driving work performance, managing 3rd party software license agreements/audits, driving cost and process improvements through data analytics, and coordination with Enterprise teams on the governance of new and emerging technology. Will lead efforts with other infrastructure frameworks (End User, Server, Network, etc.) to develop and maintain asset lifecycle strategy and roadmaps, and to mitigate any risk of electronic data exposure and noncompliance to supplier contracts. The position will be responsible for managing supplier performance pertaining to asset management systems used to monitor life cycles of hardware and software assets. Critical knowledge and experience with Data Analytics, Performance Management, Value Management, Service Levels associated with Asset Management and Software Asset Management are essential in this role. Experience with project and process management software, concepts, practices and procedures is also critical for success.


Minimum Required Skills:
  • Must have 10+ years of progressive asset management, finance, data science or related experience and a Bachelor's in IT or a related field or equivalent experience is required. Advanced degree is preferred.
  • Proven track record managing teams and driving both business and personnel growth.
  • In depth experience in the development and implementation of Asset Management system tools and processes.
  • Advanced level understanding of business or IT methods to analyze and report on data
  • Ability to manage and direct supplier performance to ensure compliance and contractual service levels are achieved.
  • Proven ability to coordinate & manage project issues, risks and changes.
  • Advanced knowledge of business acumen including planning, forecasting, analytical skills and ability to negotiate and influence.
  • Strong understanding of 3rd party software license agreements and proven ability to lead related audits with successful outcomes.
  • Knowledge of asset acquisition processes, both direct (company internal) and those performed under a supplier agreement.
  • Strong skills in interpersonal communications, relationship building, and in collaborating on cross-functional teams comprised of diverse personalities, skill sets and levels of experience.
  • Implements a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements, writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changes, and coordinating the selection process with Human Resources. Develops direct reports by securing appropriate training, assigning progressively challenging tasks, applying progressive disciplinary action as appropriate, and conducting formal written and verbal performance reviews.
  • Contributes to the development and monitoring of area budget through regular analysis of cost and spending.

Highly Desired Skills:
  • Supplier management experience involving statements of work, contract compliance, and performance metrics (KPI's, OLA's, SLA's, and Balanced Scorecard).
  • Proven track record of effective cost control, budgeting, planning, forecasting, procurement, inventory management, and understanding of service agreements.
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow, Flexera and/or Zylo asset management tools
