Who You Are

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and independent thinker to join a group of investigators developing novel small molecule cancer therapeutics. This successful candidate will be a results-driven scientist with a keen understanding of the drug discovery process. This individual will lead a group of cancer biologists charged with target validation and enabling optimization/selection of development candidates for our current lead, and new, oncology research programs. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and growing environment.

  • Apply critical thinking to complex biological problems in the oncology space
  • Design and perform critical-path, robust experiments to advance BridgeBio's oncology pipeline leading to IND fillings
  • Interpret and communicate results leading to key go, no-go decisions
  • Manage Research Associates by acting as a mentor and supervisor to drive engagement, commitment, and productivity
  • Propose experimental strategies within the context of broader project team goals
  • Maintain knowledge of scientific advances and competitive activity from literature, scientific meetings, and external contacts

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements
  • Doctorate degree and post-doctoral research experience
  • 4 years of relevant industry experience in oncology, including cancer cell biology, cell signaling, molecular biology, biochemistry, and genomics
  • Preferred experience with team leadership and timeline management
  • Ability to integrate data from multiple sources in a timely manner
  • Those with extensive experience in target discovery and validation are especially encouraged to apply (genomics and pharmacological tool experience)
  • Must be able to work in an innovative, fast-paced and team-oriented environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
