Position Summary:

Join the Gout Business Unit and become a key member of the medical marketing team to drive franchise growth with our flagship brand KRYSTEXXA (pegloticase), an orphan biologic for the treatment of uncontrolled gout refractory to conventional therapy.

Responsibilities:
  • Implementation of key strategies within the medical marketing team to reach both target and referral physician audiences
  • Manage medical marketing tactics and programs including development of peer to peer content; KOL interactions and collaboration with medical affairs
  • Work closely with marketing and sales leadership, sales training and internal cross-functional groups to design, develop and execute on key conferences
  • Supports the execution of advisory boards and consultant meetings for the brand and broader organization by understanding brand strategies, tactics and anticipating organizational needs
  • Contribute to the development of the annual brand business plan, create programs and tactics to support the strategy and champion that plan through engagement with cross-functional partners
  • Work with medical, regulatory and legal (MRL) to ensure all marketing activities are compliant with OPDP promotional guidelines
  • Manage external partners (ad agency, meeting planners, market researchers, consultants) to ensure integration and consistency of strategies, message and tactics.
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback.
  • Ensure timeliness of deliverables.
  • Manage budget and scope of projects including ROI analysis
  • Negotiate with vendors and drive optimal value for brand.
  • Leverage business insights and expert feedback to provide active input into the development and review of brand strategy, tactical plans and the financial plan
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the disease states, competitive landscape and therapeutic management of the space
  • Effectively and consistently execute multiple, simultaneous projects and manage resources to ensure deliverables are on time, on budget, and answer business objectives. Manage project timelines and budgets.


Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • BA/BS in related field. MBA a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing/sales preferably in the healthcare pharmaceutical industry.
  • Rheumatology, Nephrology or Podiatry specialty product marketing or sales experience, preferred.
  • Experience working with multiple projects and managing multiple external vendors.
  • Must have strong planning, project management, communication, and organization skills. Ability to seize feedback and provide clear direction is essential. Flexibility to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment with multiple demands with initiative and independence required.
  • Ability to develop and execute on the principles of brand management, including brand positioning, messaging & overall campaign.
  • Work well with others in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Professional, proactive demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
