Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking an R&D Associate for our Analytical Chemistry group in Tarrytown, NY. Apply state-of-the-art mass spectrometry technology to conduct biochemical characterization of Regeneron's antibody-based therapeutic protein candidates and/or products. Involved in developing analytical methods, executing experimental protocols for protein primary structure analysis, carbohydrate profiling, protein charge variants analysis, and post-translational modifications (PTMs) identification on monoclonal antibodies from at all stages of development. Develop new mass spectrometry technologies to support the R&D programs. Develop primarily LC/MS based analytical methods to support the development of monoclonal antibody-based therapeutic proteins. Conduct analytical experiments on therapeutic proteins, and analyzes mass spectrometry data to elucidate the quality attributes of therapeutic protein candidates and/or products. Conduct analytical methods qualification to support the late-stage therapeutic protein development programs. Document experiments, results and findings in laboratory notebook; present work at the group and department meetings; participate in the writing of technical reports, SOPs, and analytical method protocol. Provide the data in a quality presentation form (graphs, figures, tables, etc.) to support regulatory submissions and peer-reviewed publications. Participate in the general lab and instrument maintenance.

Qualified applicants must possess a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Biotechnology or related field and 2 years of post-graduate experience in protein mass spectrometry. Employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Biotechnology and 5 years of experience in protein mass spectrometry. Must possess 2 years of experience with: spectrometry, including LC/MS for protein and peptide analysis and quantification; analytical method development experience in analyzing protein structure, sequence, and post translational modifications (PTMs) by using UPLC, nano-LC; advanced mass spectrometry technologies including Orbitrap and Triple-Quadrupole MS; hands-on experience in operating, trouble shooting and maintenance of UPLC (Acquity UPLC and Easy-nLC), Orbitrap series mass spectrometer (Q-Exactive series) and Triple Quadrupole mass spectrometer (Thermo TSQ series); and with data analysis software including: Xcalibur, Skyline, Pinpoint, Empower and MassLynx.
