As an early member of the Research and Development team, you will foster a culture of scientific excellence, rigorous innovation, collaboration and fun!

In this role, you will:

  • Develop novel biochemical and cell-based assays in medium-high throughput formats to drive new target identification, compound optimization and MoA studies
  • Establish relevant mammalian cell or iPSC cultures, including differentiation of iPSCs to microglia and culture of primary glial cells, and optimize genetic manipulation of iPSC and primary cell systems
  • Keep detailed and organized records of experimental protocols and results
  • Rely upon your keen analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions
  • Keep current with scientific literature relating to neurodegeneration
  • Collaborate and communicate across a diverse scientific team to successfully progress scientific goals
  • Rely on your strong interpersonal and communication skills to build transparent and collaborative relationships
  •

To be considered, you must have the following:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular/Cell Biology, Neurobiology, or related discipline with 2+ years of hands on research experience in either an academic lab or company setting.
  • Experience with lentiviral transduction, stable cell line development, CRISPR-based gene editing
  • Experience with differentiation protocols for iPSCs is desirable
  • Experience with cell-based assay development
  • Experience with performing medium- to high- throughput assays and analyzing large datasets
  • Proficiency in analyzing data with GraphPad Prism is desirable
  • Background knowledge in neuroinflammation or neurodegeneration is desirable

If you have the experience we are seeking and would like the opportunity to contribute to our mission, we would like to hear from you!  Local candidates are preferred, but all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
