Communications Lead, Customer Operations (Austin, TX Site)

YOU ARE more than just a title, YOU ARE...
  • An Organized Innovator. You are responsible for supporting AbbVie and Allergan products and processes. The Communication Lead serves as the pivotal point to ensure information is provided to all stakeholders in a clear format and needed intervals, for Customer Operations, the Austin Site, and beyond.
  • A People-Driven Leader. You must have excellent communications skills, and outstanding organizational and interpersonal qualities. This person needs to be able to take initiative and identify what information is needed, how it should be broadcast, and ensure content and design of highest quality.
  • A Collaborative Communicator. This person will work closely with the VP of Customer Operation, the Strategy Project Management team, and the Site Leadership.

YOU WILL:
  • Effectively lead the gathering and preparation of information for communications to employees and leadership at the Austin site, external Allergan and AbbVie employees and leadership, and external customers.
  • Serve as first point of contact for Customer Operations and Austin site communication needs.
  • Works with stakeholders and prepares PowerPoint presentations for Town Halls and other larger presentations, and hosts both virtual and live events.
  • Works with stakeholders and assists with Quarterly Business Review presentations and Strategy communications.
  • Leads the gathering of articles and media for the Austin Quarterly Newsletter, and works with the vendor for publication
  • Works with stakeholders and manages the Austin SharePoint Portal, including the Site Events Calendar.
  • Works with stakeholders and assists with adding content to office communication monitors.
  • Participate in Customer Operations and Austin Site meetings , as needed.
  • Works with the Austin Chamber of Commerce to both share updates to the ACC as well as gather information from the ACC to share with the Austin site.
  • Has knowledge of, and drives the continuous improvement of, all aspects of the Austin site communication processes.
  • Provides solutions for everyday communication issues
  • Maintains knowledge of current programs and provides communications as needed.
  • Proactively seeks ways to improve the communication within the Austin site as well as with other Allergan and AbbVie sites.
  • Survey communication needs and manage metrics on communication success.
  • Ensure all various stakeholders are clear on where various information and communications are available.
  • Manages relationships with external communications vendors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

YOU BRING:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and communicates clearly and professionally.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and report on findings.
  • Must be able to analyze and interpret KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), review and draw conclusions from various databases.
  • Exercises judgment and acts independently within appropriate limits of authority.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 8 years related communication experience
  • Professional experience with PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other communication tools
