Job Description:

This role is on the Global Commercial Operations Learning and Performance (GCO L&P) team and reports to the Technology Manager. The Senior Associate is primarily responsible for maintaining existing systems, training tools and learning platforms and perform related activities for our training teams worldwide. This position will be based in Thousand Oaks, California, but will consider remote candidates that meet the qualifications.

Specific Duties Include:
  • Responsible for accurately processing requests related to the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Run regular and ad hoc reports from training systems (e.g., LMS, Degreed)
  • Provide customer support and answer inquiries related to GCO LP systems and training tools
  • Assist in maintaining training systems, including managing any upgrades
  • Manages the team's website (Sharepoint), including regularly scheduled and ad hoc updates
  • Assist in documenting processes and standards, including writing relevant training material
  • Provide training on systems and tools as necessary
  • Create and manage user lists and licenses for various systems
  • Assist in vendor management, including implementing final contracts, managing licenses, communications and relationship management
  • Collaborates with other training functions (R&D, Ops and Corp) on shared technologies and/or projects
  • Participates in vendor evaluations (i.e., RFP, demos) and system testing
  • Coordinates with Commercial IS and other functions as needed
  • Contributes to team communications
  • Project management support

Basic Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business or Technology (e.g., computer science) with experience in the Pharma/Biotech industry OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Technology (e.g., computer science) & 4 years of Learning & Performance in the Pharma/Biopharma industry OR
  • Associate's degree in Business or Technology (e.g., computer science) & 6 years of Learning & Performance or Pharma/Biopharma industry OR
  • High school diploma / GED & 12 years of training, technology, Pharma/Biopharma industry experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in Healthcare Industry (Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with emphasis on cooperation with interdepartmental teams
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Must be well-organized with an exemplary attention-to-detail
  • Able to work independently with a sense of urgency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (VLookUp, pivot tables) and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to the previous basic qualifications):
  • Experience using business analysis tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Experience with creating and/or managing databases
  • Experience writing process documents
  • Experience with system validation
  • Experience with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Knowledge of Sharepoint, veeva, documentum
  • Experience with virtual training platforms (e.g., Webex Training)
  • Experience with social media and machine learning
  • 4+ years of experience in Information Systems
