Job Summary

The Lead Analyst IT Applications Support is entrusted with the overall responsibility of sustaining and supporting Enterprise Applications implemented for EBSI. These applications address the needs of Finance, HR & Payroll. This role will be accountable for managing functional & technical resources with a deep focus on operational support across multiple products/applications. This position is located in Gaithersburg, MD. Key deliverables covering IT applications in Finance, HR & Payroll;

1) Effectively and with a high degree of quality, manage the lifecycle of assigned Emergent Applications

2) Sustain & improve application support for on-premise, SAAS & hosted solutions/applications

3) Implement & enable support policies, processes, metrics for sustaining applications lifecycle capability.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for business facing application support for SAP ECC (Finance - all modules), SAP SuccessFactors (all modules), Ceridian (Payroll) and financial budgeting systems (OneStream). More applications may be added as per needs of the organization in the specified functional (Finance & HR) domain
  • Lead small to medium sized application enhancements across identified applications.
  • Gather requirements, participate in technology assessment and solution design.
  • Lead all areas of Application Lifecycle Management and support for business operations covering Incident, Change, Release & Problem management.
  • Lead efforts with vendors, development of SoW's, prepare enhancement plans and deliverables
  • Lead Technology refresh initiatives, including application patches & system upgrades.
  • Responsible for co-ordinating communications with internal and external stakeholders impacted, or potentially impacted, by service disruption, additions, changes, and/or reductions in service
  • Plan and coordinate IT deployments/changes in a validated application environment
  • Maintain with an extended team production environments including installation / deployment of operating system updates, security patches, configuration changes, and application updates
  • Ensure audit requirements and processes are followed and represent the application, if selected for audit. Implement and monitor controls defined by the internal controls standards manual.
  • Responsible (with an extended team) for disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing and formalization of appropriate processes & systems
  • Responsible for 24x7 365 application availability of allocated applications
  • Lead/Manage the transition from projects to production support team. Develop and improve methodology as required.
  • Own the transition to operations for all identified Applications
  • Propose, monitor, measure and report IT KPI's covering, incident, problem, change and release.
  • Document, prioritize and track requests (changes, enhancements, etc.) and coordinate with the Change Control Board (CCB) as needed.
  • Manage and mentor IT team members
  • A self-starter with ability to take independent decisions and provide guidance to team members.

Education, Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university is required specializing in computer science/information systems, and/or finance; advanced degree strongly recommended.
  • 10 - 12+ years knowledge of corporate IT applications. Strong SAP ECC FI/CO, SAP SuccessFactors experience, Ceridian preferred.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and usage in enterprise systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in a corporate business application support and delivery in a validated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Consulting experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance/Compliance, 21 CFR Part 11
  • Knowledge of government accounting desired
  • Issue resolution in financial domain, leadership & people management skills, including demonstrated ability to engage with senior business and IT stakeholders.
