The GPS PMO, is responsible for:
  • Deploying standard PMO best practices & tools across GPS functions and executing the portfolio planning cycle
  • Providing program management expertise and leadership in executing GO team brand strategies.
  • Lead and direct the planning and execution of strategic GPS programs & projects


Responsibilities:

Act as GPS subject matter expert for Program / Project Management, PMO processes and systems.

PMO best practices;
  • Lead the development and deployment of standard PMO best practices across GPS
  • Lead the portfolio planning process across GPS and for designated functions.
  • Facilitate the charter intake process for new projects, ensuring timely alignment and stakeholder endorsement.
  • Ensure monthly PMO PPM updates are completed on schedule and follow agreed reporting convention.
  • Consolidate monthly PMO metrics suite and evaluate trends to identify opportunities.
  • Support business governance forums as required incl. Leadership team portfolio reviews.


Program management of GO teams;
  • Develop and provide performance oversight and reporting of GO Team goals and objectives.
  • Establish the approved brand project portfolio, working with sponsors to define scope and deliverables, define project team and project management resource requirements and work within the PMO ecosystem to identify project managers.
  • Provide disciplined project prioritization and oversight to the GO Team book-of-work as defined by the SPL, GO Team and related sub-teams.
  • Provide administrative leadership of GO Team operations, e.g., meeting scheduling, agendas, minutes, etc.
  • Support key GO Team members to ensure continuity of supply, end-to-end optimization, comprehensive change management, and effective management of technology and regulatory issues.
  • Proactively identify, facilitate resolution and escalate issues.


Strategic GPS programs & projects;
  • Lead planning and execution of integrated, complex plans and teams for strategic GPS programs & projects
  • Lead program/project activities including kickoff meetings, recurring status meetings, executive sponsor meetings, reporting, risk tracking, steering committee meetings, and conflict resolution.
  • Manage resources to attain program/project deliverables and coordinate project communication for all stakeholders
  • Manage project risks and issues by identifying, resolving, communicating or escalating to senior leadership when appropriate.
  • Develop and drive detailed plans, meeting strategic intent and achieving key milestones.


Qualifications / Experience / Skills
  • Degree (Minimum), Masters / MBA (Preferred) in Science, Technical discipline or Supply Chain
  • PMP certification
  • 10+ years experience within PMO / project management - BioPharma experience preferred
  • Experience in project/program management of complex projects involving cross-functional, multi-site, international teams.
  • Understanding of cGMPs and regulatory CMC.
  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with executive level management.
  • Proficiency with project management and Microsoft tools, e.g. MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and business acumen
  • Ability to analyze project/portfolio data to identify trends and synthesize portfolio metrics and KPIs.
  • Ability to work independently to achieve results and exercise influence across a global matrix organization
  • Experience in the dynamics of program/project management involving cross-functional, multi-site teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities and strong interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in critical thinking, influence, negotiation, problem solving, strategic thinking and leadership in a matrix environment.
