Summary:

Intellia is seeking a highly skilled Scientist/Sr Scientist, Functional Genetic Screening to join our Platform Biology team. The ideal applicant will be experienced with all aspects of functional genetic screening from library construction to sample preparation for NGS and data analysis. The successful candidate will develop and execute the basic screening platforms in primary human T cells and work with other teams to drive various screening projects. Hands-on experience with primary T cells is strongly desired.

Responsibilities
    • Develop CRISPR-based screening platforms in primary human T cells
    • Drive both independent and cross-functional CRISPR screens in primary T cells
    • Analyze and interpret screen data with bioinformatics team for hit identification
    • Troubleshoot experimental problems


Qualifications
    • PhD in Cell Biology, Immunology, Molecular Biology or a related area with at least 0-5 years of industry experience
    • Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate scientific results in internal and external presentations and publications
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast paced team environment
    • Experience managing a laboratory technicians or research associates is a plus
    • Experience performing CRISPR-based functional genetic screens
    • Experience with flow cytometry/FACS and/or magnetic bead-based cell separations
    • Hands-on proficiency with sample prep for NGS and knowledge of downstream data analysis
    • Ability to perform multiple work streams simultaneously
    • Experience isolating, culturing, and modifying primary human T cells
