The Sr. Manager, Enterprise Applications will be responsible for providing end-to-end application management with a focus on planning, building, supporting, and vendor management for the different IT programs and business initiatives.

This position will be required to lead implementations, build business relationships, and support systems for various business functions. The individual must have a solid understanding of cloud-based solutions and applying SDLC guiding principles to implement the solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for leading systems implementations for Commercial and other business functions
  • Drive RFP process for selection of software vendors, system implementors, service providers, etc.
  • Manage contractors, vendors, and may be required to manage internal staff
  • Designing, planning, and implementing application support structures using competency center, managed services, etc. for various platforms
  • Responsible for managing budgets related to applications, service providers, and contractors/consultants
  • Establish and maintain outstanding working relations with internal business functions (Market Access, Commercial Operations, Medical Affairs, etc.)
  • End-to-end management for different IT programs; each program would comprise of one or more projects
  • Act as the single point of contact for the commercial applications; work with the business/customers in defining the roadmap for the solutions
  • Manage engagements with different vendors to ensure that vendors are meeting the expectations as defined in the contract
  • Responsible for strategic and tactical planning; the primary focus for the program manager would be to setup a roadmap for the different programs in consultation with the stakeholders
  • Ensure that the different software applications in the program are operational and meeting the customer requirements of intended use
  • Ensure that the business requirements are understood by the vendor and all deliverables meet the planned objectives in terms of time, cost and quality
  • Plan the Software releases/deployments in the program in consultation with the customer
  • Review the detailed plan submitted by the vendor and track the progress of the work against the plan and/or service level agreement
  • Manage and co-ordinate different status meetings with the different stakeholders
  • Act as an escalation point for the customer for all issues related to applications, integrations, and data
  • Formulate processes related to project management and software engineering to enable smooth execution of projects

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years relevant experience; equivalent combination of advanced degree and less experience may be considered.


Experience:

  • Experience working with Sales, Marketing, or Market Access groups within pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience implementing and managing one or more of following: Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault, Speaker/Event Management
  • Knowledge of Master Data Management solutions such as Veeva Network, Reltio, Informatica desired
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence reporting solutions such as Tableau, QlickView, Cognos desired
  • Experience working in environment using MDM (HCP/HCO), DW, BI, and Data Aggregator desired
  • Understanding of Pharmaceutical Industry and Specialty Pharmacy dispensed drugs highly desirable
  • Excellent planning skills with the ability to provide an organized approach to leading projects
  • Excellent presentation, communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Experience in designing and implementing large, complex enterprise applications highly desired
  • Knowledge of Sunshine Act reporting and GxP guidelines is desired


Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of SFDC (Veeva CRM), Veeva Vault, and/or other cloud-based solutions required
  • Understanding data models, ETL platforms, database administration desired
  • Understanding of SQL is desired
  • Ability to update Tableau, QlikView, Crystal reports is desired
