VelocImmune (VI) Next is a technology development group at Regeneron that investigates new modes of antibody, immune, and cell-based therapies. We are seeking an accomplished, motivated, PhD level scientist to drive target discovery efforts as well as technology development in the areas of antibody engineering, DNA repair, and genomic modification. This is an opportunity for a talented scientist with an expertise in molecular biology and genetic engineering to join our industry-leading efforts in novel drug and therapy development.

As a Scientist- VI next, a typical day might include the following:
  • Crafting and executing genomic editing such as large fragments knock-in and knock-out in mammalian cell lines and primary cells.
  • In vitro and in vivo engineering of antigen receptors (antibody & TCR).
  • Creating and optimizing novel technologies to efficiently capture and clone large genomic fragments.
  • Contributing to novel drug (format) development by designing, phenotyping, validating and troubleshooting new in vitro and in vivo (mouse) models.
  • Analyzing large sophisticated data sets independently or in collaboration with in house bioinformaticians; interpret and summarize key findings
  • Participating in departmental and cross-company meetings with the ability to liaise and collaborate with others internally and externally

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a PhD in molecular biology, genetics or related fields with 3+ Years postdoctoral or industry experience. A strong record of innovation and research accomplishments in genomic engineering, antibody engineering, molecular immunology, or related field. Extensive knowledge and experience with mouse and human genomic engineering and animal model construction. Experience with antibody structure and remodeling is helpful. Experience with NGS methods and analysis and other high throughput methods preferred
