Job Description

Kite Pharma, Inc. is focused on the development and commercialization of novel cancer immunotherapy products designed to harness the power of a patient's own immune system to eradicate cancer cells.We believe our immunotherapy is a market-redefining approach to the treatment of cancer.

We are seeking a Distribution Specialist to join this remarkable team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, oversee, and participate in the materials management operations and activities to support Production operations team and other internal customers

Manage the day-to-day assignments of warehouse job tasks and monitor completion of required activities

Receive incoming shipments of non-GMP/GMP materials and equipment following established procedures

Dispense and kit GMP materials to support production operations

Prepare and deliver raw materials, samples, finished product, etc. to various departments as needed ensuring proper procedure and temperature range are followed

Maintain accurate inventory of GMP warehouse materials

Performing inventory cycle counts

Perform accurate ERP transactions

Monitor Kanban area to ensure optimum replenishment of materials

Communicate inventory discrepancies to warehouse operations team and escalate when appropriate

Cross-train in all areas of the warehouse operations

Pick, Pack, and Ship finished product, materials, and equipment as required per established policies and procedures

Ensure individual employee training is up to date

Adhere to all safety procedures and GMP's requirements at all times

Keep warehouse operation clean and inspection ready at all times

Other duties as assigned

Key Competencies:

Strict adherence to SOPs and cGMP regulations, the ability to accurately complete documentation associated with clinical manufacturing

Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing of biotechnology products, aseptic processing, cell culture product

Good with Microsoft Word, Excel and data analysis

Ability to think critically, and demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Collaborative, self-motivated and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description

Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related discipline or equivalent experience, or

High School diploma and some college or vocational training; 3+ years of relevant supply chain or warehouse management at a pharmaceutical or biotech company

Physical Requirements:

Ability to gown aseptically for work in a cleanroom environment

Ability to work off-shift and long hours as required

Ability to work flexible hours

Ability to lift over 30 lbs

Motivated team player

Ability to remain in cleanroom environment for long periods of time
